DaySpend is manual-first. Your budget and expense records are stored locally on your device. DaySpend does not require a bank connection or use ad tracking, and analytics never include expense amounts, notes, budget names, category names, reset days, display names, or motivation values.

At a glance

  • Budget, expense, reminder, and category records are local to your device.
  • DaySpend does not use bank sync, advertising SDKs, or ad tracking.
  • Limited product analytics may be sent to PostHog to understand onboarding, paywall, and purchase-flow performance.
  • RevenueCat may process purchase and entitlement information so Plus can load, unlock, and restore.
  • Optional support emails send the message and troubleshooting details you choose to include.
  • Optional Plus purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store.

Budget and expense data

DaySpend does not upload your budgets, expenses, categories, notes, reminder schedules, or reset-day values to DaySpend servers. Your app data is stored locally on your device using Apple's native storage frameworks, with shared local storage used so widgets can show your daily guide.

Trust commitments

  • No bank connection required.
  • No ad tracking.
  • No expense amounts, notes, budget names, category names, reset days, display names, or motivation values are sent to analytics.
  • No session replay, screen recording, survey popups, or automatic tap autocapture are enabled in DaySpend's product analytics setup.

Optional support emails

If you choose to contact support, your email app may send the message you write plus any app version, iOS version, device model, or other troubleshooting context included in the draft. We use support emails to reply to you and investigate the issue you reported.

In-app purchases

Optional DaySpend Plus purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit. DaySpend uses RevenueCat to help load Plus offers, manage entitlement status, and restore purchases. RevenueCat may receive purchase history, product identifiers, entitlement status, and limited revenue-funnel attributes such as paywall shown, paywall placement, selected product ID, purchase started, and Plus purchased. We do not receive or store your payment card details.

Product analytics

DaySpend may use PostHog for limited product analytics. Events are used to understand whether onboarding, paywall, and purchase-flow steps are working. Example events include app first opened, onboarding step viewed, onboarding completed, paywall shown, purchase started, and continued free after paywall.

Analytics events may include app version, build number, platform, event name, non-sensitive step names, paywall placement, product ID, event counts, and anonymous app/session identifiers used to understand event flow. They do not include expense amounts, expense notes, budget names, category names, reset days, display names, motivation values, or other financial details you enter into DaySpend. Analytics are not used for ad tracking.

Notifications

If you enable reminders, DaySpend schedules local notifications on your device. Reminder preferences are used to deliver the reminders you request; DaySpend does not use server push notifications for reminders.

Third-party services

DaySpend uses Apple frameworks and App Store services, RevenueCat for Plus purchase/entitlement infrastructure, and PostHog for limited product analytics. PostHog error autocapture is disabled in DaySpend. DaySpend does not integrate bank-sync services, advertising SDKs, data brokers, or tracking SDKs. App Store downloads, purchases, refunds, crash reporting, and diagnostics may still be handled by Apple under Apple's own terms and privacy policies.

Backups and device storage

Because DaySpend stores your budget data locally, deleting the app or losing your device may remove local records unless they are included in your Apple device backup or migration process. You can export raw expense history as CSV from the app.

Children's privacy

DaySpend is a general personal budgeting tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
